Wendy's Fan-Favorite Fish Sandwich Is Officially Back Today

Recently, on February 14, in observance of the beginning of Lent, Wendy's signature fish sandwich has returned to restaurants across the country.

Indeed, that is correct! As of today, February 12, the fan-favorite Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich has been reinstated to the menu of the burger chain.

The return date for this year is significantly earlier than the relaunch that occurred last year on February 20th, by more than a week.

On a premium Wendy's bun is piled a wild-caught Alaskan pollock fillet that has been panko-dusted. The fillet is accompanied by lettuce, American cheese, pickles, and a creamy dill tartar sauce.

Prior to several years ago, Wendy's seasonal fish sandwiches were comprised of cod. However, the chain has since shifted its focus to Alaskan pollock.

A press release states that Wendy's currently obtains its fish from the largest certified sustainable fishery in the globe.

Third-party researchers estimate the populations of untamed Alaskan pollock in the Gulf of Alaska, Aleutian Islands, and Bering Sea in the interest of sustainability.

Wendy's stated that, in accordance with these estimations, a maximum of 15% of the untamed Alaskan Pollock is captured annually so as to guarantee sufficient quantities for future generations.

Although prices may differ depending on the location, Wendy's estimates that the Crispy Panko Fish Sandwich will cost approximately $6.16 this year.

Timely arrival at your nearby Wendy's is highly recommended if you are interested in sampling the seasonal option. It will, similar to previous years, be accessible for a restricted duration.
